U10 BOYS CAPTURE ANOTHER SILVER AT BLESSED TOURNAMENT

Congratulations to the Grimsby Grizzlies U10 Boys Basketball Team!  The boys competed in the Blessed Sacrament Basketball Tournament in Hamilton, Feb. 22-24.  They defeated the North Toronto Huskies in their first game. They lost to the Toronto Lord's in their second match up and regrouped for their third game against the Kitchener-Waterloo Vipers and picked up a win. The 2 wins got them in the semi final match against the Burlington Force.  It was an intense match with the teams exchanging the lead throughout the game.  With 1.6 seconds left, the game tied and facing overtime, the Grizzlies hit a buzzer beater to win and move on to the Championship game.  They bettered their score against the Toronto Lord's, but still couldn't pull off a win against the tough Toronto team. 

It was a great weekend of basketball for the boys!

Players, Coaches and parents are entirely proud of the manor in which the boys represented their club and community.
